Broken Blood Vessels

Broken blood vessels appear as thin red or purple clusters on the skin at the site of trauma to the skin or excessive sun exposure. Conditions such as rosacea may also result in broken blood vessels. Although they are harmless, the broken vessels can not repair on their own and can worsen with further sun exposure. Dr. Olowoyeye can treat the appearance of broken blood vessels with elective (cosmetic) procedures, such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and/or electrodessication treatments.
