Lipomas

Lipomas are fatty lumps found under the skin and are rarely serious medical conditions. Treatment generally isn’t necessary, but if the lipoma bothers you, is painful, or swollen, you may want to have it removed. Lipomas can be easily removed by our Board Certified Dermatologist. This procedure is called an excision, during which the skin is anesthetized, the lipoma is surgically removed, and stitches are placed.
